Purpose
The primary role of this machine is to detect defects in vials containing dry powder (such as antibiotics or other injectable powders). Common inspections include:
-
Checking for any breakage, cracks, or damage in the glass vial.
-
Verifying proper sealing of the cap (e.g., aluminum seal or crimp quality).
-
Detecting foreign particles, impurities, or irregularities in the powder (in advanced models).
-
Identifying cosmetic defects or improper filling.
This step occurs after vial filling and sealing (post-sealing inspection) to reject defective vials before they proceed to labeling, packaging, or distribution. It helps prevent contaminated or substandard products from reaching patients.

Process Operation of Dry Powder Vial Inspection Machine
The central conveyor belt brings the bottle from the capping machine conveyor. These bottles are automatically bifurcated on the two adjoining conveyor belts & further on the side tables for operators sitting on either side of the table. The operators in turn pick up the bottles & visually inspect the bottles in the alternate white & black background to check for any particles in the liquid filled, sealed & breakage of bottle. After inspection the bottles are placed in the central track, which is transfer for labeling.
