Working Principle

1. Loading — Capsules are poured into a hopper (feed reservoir) at the top.

2. Orientation and separation — The capsules fall onto a rotating disc (or vibratory-assisted rotary disc in some designs). The disc’s rotation and specially designed channels/holes orient the capsules in a single layer and guide them into individual pockets/holes on the disc (preventing double-counting or jamming).

3. Counting — As the disc rotates, a predetermined number of filled pockets align with the discharge point. A photoelectric scanner/sensor (or mechanical system) detects and counts the capsules precisely. When the set count is reached, the flow stops or diverts.

4. Filling/dispensing — The counted capsules drop through a chute/nozzle directly into the waiting bottle/container below. In automatic models, a conveyor may position bottles and move them forward after filling.

5. Completion — The process repeats continuously for high-speed production; dust extraction or anti-static features often minimize dust and ensure smooth flow.
